Thomas A. Dearth, 69, of Marietta, passed away at his home at 11 p.m. on Monday (June 20, 2011).

He was born Aug. 6, 1941, in Marietta, to Arthur Jennings Dearth and Mary Katherine McMahon Dearth. Thomas was a 1959 graduate of Marietta High and had been employed by Ohio Power at the Muskingum River Plant as a boiler operator. He was a member of Parkersburg's Ben Bay Grotto and Lowell Masonic Lodge 436.

On Sept. 28, 1962, he married Antoniette "Toni" Louise Willis, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Tammy Dearth of Lowell, Thomas (Dee) Dearth Jr. of Marietta and Gina (Kevin) Allen of Lowell. Also surviving are grandchildren, Richard Thomas of Marietta, Nichelle Richards of Barlow, Thomas "Trey" Dearth of Marietta, Landon Dearth of Marietta, Amanda Evans of Bellaire, Angela Burris of Cambridge, Jenny Evans of Spokane, Wash., Derek Allen of St. Marys, Samantha Rudolph of Marietta, Kacy Allen of Lowell, Cole Allen of Lowell; and 14 great-grandchildren. A sister, Sandra Barth of Lowell, also survives.

Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday (June 23) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m.
