In Memory

Jennifer Hardie ('61)

I was quite saddened to learn of the recent death of my girlhood friend Jennifer Hardie.  Jennifer lived near our family and on many summer evenings after dinner, and long before the era of TV she would come over, along with other girlfriends and my sister, and we would play outdoor games together until dark.  Also, we were in dance class together for several years in our last years in grade school and first couple of years in junior high school.  We studied ballet, acrobatics and tap dancing with Ralph Wylie.  And sometimes we would practice our ballet routines together in one of the large empty rooms at the American Legion on Beverly Place where Jennifer lived with her parents.  We also had a neighborhood softball group for a short time in which Jennifer participated along with the fun activities at Max Farleys home on Seventh Street.  How sad she had to leave this life so soon.

Sincerely, Nancy Hoye Mufti
