Butch and I first met in the late 50’s when our Dad’s had boats and were members of the Marietta Boat Club. This was back when you could not navigate the Muskingum River and the clubs docks were in the Ohio River. We would spend a lot of time on our Dads boats during the summer. We became very good friends and it carried on thru our high school days. We re connected as adults after stints in the service and were in the Jaycees at the same time and raising family’s of our own.
When I went thru my divorce and the loss of my business, Butch was there for me in a lot of ways. With his help I got back on my feet (so to speak) and carried on with life.
Due to my health issues I did not make it to our class reunions but he and I talked many times on the phone and by e mail. At my COL Football reunion I did get to spend some time with Butch catching up on our lives.
He was there for me again when my wife, Chris passed away.
Jan, my heart and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
He will be missed.
A friend always.

Welcome Sandy. Been a long time. Hope you catch up with a lot of classmates and friends.
I tried twice to send a message and it would not go through. So will make this a simple wish for a great day and a greater year
